· Being involved strongly with the preliminary scope and design of the entire project with all the management, system architects, system administrators.
§ Assisted system Administrators with the installation of Lawson Insight and universe in all of the modules.
· Responsible for carrying out all groundwork proof of concepts for different Safeway systems.
Mapped and analyzed current systems functioning and data, accordingly developed many complex Mercator maps to suit the data conversion to Lawson, using BCI.
Tested the efficiency of the product by running these Mercator maps and stress testing the product to assist the high management in their decision for choosing the product.
· System architect the Account Payable, General Ledger and Asset Management systems.
These systems were on different platforms, which required extensive technical analysis
to be able to extract and reformat data coming from these data bases into Lawson.
Five different Account Payable systems, General Ledger and Asset Management were converted, they all were very individualistic in their functionality and programming languages.
Databases were FoxPro, Informix DB2 etc. Different languages such as JAVA, Cobol, VBA/Access, Lawson Case/Tool, Cobol were used to convert these systems to Lawson.
· Lead and Supported the Conversion technical team to develop the conversion programs and in the problems they encountered during the testing phase.
· Lead and supported the Philippines programmers for interface development. Trouble shooting the problems and issues which they encountered during Mercator/BCI mapping and stress testing with huge volume of data.
· Trained twenty five programmers in the Philippines and Arcadia California in Mercator mapping and BCI and Lawson Case/Tools.

The inquiry screens and the reports were developed to list different companies and their detailed accounting information. After unit and system testing, I was involved in the implementation and user training of this new part of the system.
The coding was done in ACCESS and Visual Basic. Also modified few reports using ACCESS. To reduce run-time, optimized variety of Accounting SQL queries by rewriting the codes, using different accessing methods.

As a consultant, participated in the Procurement, Purchase Orders of food distribution, Account Payable, and Inventory Management systems of Lawson Software V-7.0 installation. This involved coding, testing, implementing
Conversion programs to convert the Vendor Master tables from Customer Information Informix system to Lawson Software.
Wrote series of programs for processing of Purchase Orders in Lawson, for the Legacy system and electronically entered Purchase Orders, evaluating and editing the incoming data to create PO lines for items requested.
Captured different criteria and calculated Add on Cost, discount rates .etc to create print programs to report this information to Account Payable system.
Created receiving records to be released by the system.
Modified and tested in detail the interface programs in Lawson system, from calculating inventory costs to actual payments and receipts of the goods.
Tested some of the Account Receivable programs to see if the process was working correctly. Traced the process to verify and confirm that proper tables were updated and how much good were received and paid for.
Also on the Inventory Management system, created Purchase Order reports that printed data for all the Purchase Orders calculating their loss and gains and their costs showing their discount rates and many other intricate data for viewing of the users. The Accounting department also used the reports.
Also participated in investigation of General Ledger system for the above reports and for other user questions
For the implementation of the programs, many shell scripts had to be written, tested and implemented which included cataloging the input files coming from other systems, checking to see if the input file was not empty, to creating reports and copying the output file of each program in the format and the DD name that the next program expected.
Participated in testing and implementations of other parts of the system and worked with the users.
Programming was done utilizing Micro Focus COBOL, ANIMATOR and Informix, on UNIX environment, and WINDOWS, EXCEL, WORD and VISIO on PCs.
